These Terms govern access to the National Discovery website, trip-planning tools, community features, adventure services, guide services, and Gear Store. By creating an account, submitting content, placing an order, or booking a service, you agree to these Terms.
Using National Discovery
You must provide accurate account and booking information, protect your login credentials, and be legally able to enter a contract. Travelers under 18 must participate with a parent, guardian, or properly authorized group leader. Guide accounts may require identity, qualification, permit, insurance, and experience verification before receiving traveler reservations.
You may not misuse the website, interfere with security, scrape member information, impersonate another person, publish unlawful or unsafe instructions, or use National Discovery services for unauthorized commercial activity.
Planner, routes, prices, and timing
The planner is a preparation tool, not a live navigation, aviation, rail, weather, medical, or emergency service. Road times combine geographic routing with planning buffers and can change because of traffic, checkpoints, closures, permits, road condition, season, weather, vehicle capability, and daylight. Attraction hours, admission prices, availability, ratings, and operator costs may change after publication.
Official admission prices are identified where verified. Other amounts are planning allowances or package from-prices and may exclude transport, accommodation, meals, guide fees, equipment, park fees, taxes, gratuities, permits, or optional activities. Confirm the final itinerary, inclusions, price, and cancellation policy before payment.
Bookings, payment, and cancellation
A cart, wishlist, itinerary, or reservation request does not guarantee a booking. A booking becomes confirmed only when National Discovery or the responsible guide/operator issues written confirmation and any required payment is received. Prices and seats may change before confirmation.
The confirmation will state the payment schedule, cancellation terms, refund eligibility, minimum group size, and material inclusions. Supplier, protected-area, airline, rail, lodge, and guide terms may also apply. Where National Discovery acts as an intermediary, the supplying operator remains responsible for delivering its confirmed service.
Adventure safety and traveler duties
Adventure travel involves inherent risks including remote terrain, heat, cold, altitude, water, currents, wildlife, off-road driving, equipment failure, and delayed assistance. Travelers must disclose relevant medical, mobility, certification, dietary, and experience information; follow guide instructions; use required safety equipment; and avoid participation while impaired.
National Discovery or the operating guide may change, postpone, or stop an activity when weather, access, group readiness, equipment, permits, or safety conditions require it. Diving, climbing, remote expeditions, and vehicle recovery activities may require specific certification, insurance, permits, or demonstrated competence.
Gear Store orders
Product photos and descriptions are illustrative and may vary by model or supplier. Catalog prices, delivery windows, stock, warranties, and specifications must be confirmed at checkout. Recommended, mandatory, or optional gear labels are planning guidance and do not replace an operator's final equipment list, professional fitting, product instructions, or a safety inspection.
Returns, exchanges, delivery charges, and warranty handling follow the policy shown with the confirmed order and any mandatory consumer protections. Used safety equipment may have return restrictions where permitted by law.
Community posts, reviews, and photos
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant National Discovery a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, resize, display, and distribute that content within National Discovery services and related promotion, subject to applicable privacy choices. You confirm that you have permission from identifiable people shown and that your content does not violate copyright, privacy, safety, or other rights.
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. National Discovery may moderate, refuse, or remove content that is misleading, abusive, unsafe, unlawful, promotional spam, or unrelated to the community. Community advice is personal opinion and must be independently checked before relying on it for safety or bookings.
Third parties, liability, and governing law
The website may link to maps, payment services, social networks, lodges, guides, operators, and public information services that National Discovery does not control. Their terms and privacy practices apply separately.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, National Discovery is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunity, user-generated content, or changes caused by weather, authorities, transport providers, protected areas, or independent suppliers. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The parties should first try to resolve a concern through National Discovery support. If it remains unresolved, disputes will be handled by the competent Egyptian courts unless mandatory consumer law requires another forum.
Changes and contact
National Discovery may update these Terms as services develop. The effective date will be changed when a material revision is published. Continued use after the effective date means the revised Terms apply to future use; confirmed orders remain governed by the terms accepted at confirmation.
Questions, safety concerns, copyright requests, or service complaints can be submitted through the Contact us and help page.
